New construction of housing in the North Okanagan's off to a roaring start.

January numbers from CMHC show single family home construction up to 15 as compared to three a year ago.

Multi family units are also up at 6.

In all,  a 260 percent increase.

Kelowna and Penticton starts are also up, Kamloops went the other way with a dip of 56 percent.
