Snow Pack Levels Low

Greater Vernon's Water manager says the latest snow pack levels are concerning.

Al Cotsworth says their longest serving site, with readings dating back 40 years, is showing 62 percent of average.

"There really hasn't been a lot of snow to fill our snow pack up but it's still early in the year before runoff and we're hopeful we will get later snow to fill the basin up but it is quite concerning at this point."

Two other local snow pack areas are showing 85 and 70 percent of average.

Cotsworth says they're asking customers to lower their water use where possible.
