Kirby Halcrow stole the show at Wesbild Centre.

The Quesnel Millionaires goalie (18 years old from Grande Prairie) made 55 saves in backstopping the Mills to a 4-2 win over the heavily favoured Vernon Vipers before 1,637 fans.

Graeme Gordon took the loss, stopping 18 of 22 shots.

Vernon has yet to score a power play goal in the series, going 0 for 6 in game 2 while Quesnel did not have a power play opportunity.

Cory Kane was picked as Vernon's top player, third star, with one assist. David Robinson and Rob Short scored the Viper goals.

The best of seven series is now tied at 1 with games 3 and 4 in the Cariboo city Friday and Saturday.

The Penticton Vees took a 2-0 lead in the other Interior semi final against the Westside Warriors with a 3-2 win before 1,232 fans at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Coastal conference favorite Alberni Valley edged Nanaimo 3-2 in overtime to tie that series at 1.

Powell River defeated Langley 5-3 to take a 2-0 series lead.
